NVIDIA G86 gets another run out today in a product named GeForce 8400
GS. The cheap entry-level GeForce 8-series board marks the bottom of their current
D3D10 performance ladder for around £35 inc VAT here in the UK.

With one cluster of SPs (16 total), one quad ROP and a 64-bit external memory bus with 256MiB of 400MHz DDR2 on the other end, and clocks of 450MHz and 900MHz for the base clock and shader clock respectively, performance will be fairly low.
As you can see, the product is low profile bar the backplane, but that could be made so since the analogue VGA port is optional. The product is launched with almost immediate availability with boards arriving in the UK within the next 2-3 days. No word on availability or price is available to us for other territories, and we''ll update with that when we get it.
GeForce 8400 GS is a D3D10 replacement for low-end GeForce 7, filling out the broad D3D10 lineup that NVIDIA now enjoy.
