SIGGRAPH 2007: NVIDIA releases GPU Gems 3

Wednesday 08th August 2007, 02:02:00 AM, written by Tim

NVIDIA today announced the release of the third volume in its GPU Gems series of books, which contains new articles from developers with Crytek, Havok and many more. Also included is a chapter by forum regular Andrew Lauritzen (AndyTX) on summed-area variance shadow maps. GPU computing receives more focus than ever before, with one section of the book focusing on physics and a second exploring other applications for GPU computing.

NVIDIA has released a few sample chapters and the table of contents on its GPU Gems 3 site. While we haven't had a chance to read the entire book yet, we fully expect it to live up to the high standards set by GPU Gems 2. GPU Gems 3 is available at the SIGGRAPH bookstore now and should be available at booksellers sometime in the next few days.
