eWeek are reporting that Henri Richard has joined Freescale to head up the company's sales and marketing.
Freescale is a semiconductor company (the important bit), formed from the semiconductor bits of Motorola's business in 2004. Mr. Richard said in the press release announcing his departure from AMD, "After 20 years in the PC industry – and five of the most professionally rewarding years here at AMD – I have decided to make a move to a different business segment".
We guess "business segment" means cars and not PCs, rather than semiconductors as a whole! We jest, and we also wish him all the best.
