Team Fortress 2 Preview on HEXUS.tv

Don't have Steam and can''t see the Team Fortress 2 preview from Valve that features Heavy Weapons Guy? HEXUS.tv have the video available.

While the 720p version available via Steam is higher quality, you can still see Valve's new facial animation system at work in the HEXUS.tv spot. The morph system in this case runs entirely on the GPU, working with a pool of hundreds of morph targets to create the facial animation blends that you can see.

The current Source facial animation system runs partly on the GPU, but not entirely, so the technology you see in action in the Heavy Weapons Guy demo is next-generation Source.

When the demo was presented to press at AMD's R600 tech event in Tunis, yours truly couldn't stop laughing, prompting Valve's Jason Mitchell, ex-ATI, to have to wait until my hysterics dried up before continuing. Sorry, Jason, sorry fellow hacks! He's hilarious, though.
