AMD M740 and M780 information breaks cover

Always near Taiwanese AIB partners’ most talkative employees, DigiTimes are reporting on upcoming notebook chipset offerings from AMD. The entry level M740G chipset is set for a Q3 2007 release, while the middle and high-end parts, dubbed M780G and M780T respectively, are expected to launch early next year in Q1 2008.

In its initial offerings, Puma will be sporting the DirectX 10 and HDMI-compliant M780 variants to go with the new 65nm Griffin mobile processor.
