In this test we'll see where theperformance of the 6600 GT AGP is in relation to the PCI Express version, and also compare it against NVIDIA's previous mainstream part, the 5700 Ultra. We've also included a 5800 Ultra, as there are many parallels between NVIDIA's latest mainstream part and the high end 5800 Ultra announced two years ago - we'll see how their architecture has progressed over this period.
Bear in mind that the AGP system is using an Athlon FX-55 CPU which is generally higher performance in most gaming situations than the Pentium4 EE 3.46 GHz in the the PCI Express system, hence the performance of the PCI Express 6600 GT may be lower where the CPU performance is the bottleneck.
