SMARTSHADER Scripts and Plug-In

As the interview with Maurice and Roger mentioned ATI are now providing the facility for end users to create their own OpenGL SMARTSHADER effects via scripting and a SMARTSHADER effects plug-in tool in order to view them. With the plug-in tool a variety of examples of shaders come available.

To create your own effects you will need the SMARTSHADER plug-in tool, and directions for scripting you own shader effects, both of which can be downloaded here:

Update:

Some settings have changed in newer drivers (Catalyst 4.3) and a new version of the pssControl SMARTSHADER plug-in tool is required for operation with these drivers. The new version is available here:

Results

The winner of the SMARTSHADER competition held here at Beyond3D is Federico Bianco Prevot with his "TV" SMARTSHADER. The TV SMARTSHADER mimics an old green screen TV with ghosting, rolling and generally poor reception issues:
