AMD release Ruby: Whiteout demo for download

AMD has released its flagship D3D10 demo, requiring Windows Vista and a
compliant graphics card. AMD recommend their HD 2900 XT hardware, and
indeed that might be the only product to run it just now.
The demo has a number of small problems that prevent it from running correctly on competing D3D10 hardware from other vendors, so a new version will be required to see it running if you don''t have R600 under your graphics hood.
Graphically the demo is impressive, AMD''s demo team making good use of the available rendering resources in R600 to achieve good performance with high visual quality. We''ll hopefully have an interview with the demo team to discuss how things went with Whiteout''s production and rendering technology, so look out for that.
You can grab the demo from AMD''s ATI developer website.
