Mobility X1900 out of the closet

Since our previous report last November, the RV570-based ATI Mobility Radeon X1900 has decided to come out of the closet, with AMD's website recently admitting to parentage of the new high-end mobile solution. Today comes news of Alienware announcing the 17" screen m5790 Special Edition laptop for enthusiasts who like to carry their pixels with them to drool over.

Obviously, it is getting fairly late in the day for pricey DX9-class non-upgradeable mobile solutions. As we've also reported, DX10-class solutions of at least mid-range power seem to be on the nearish horizon. But if you need something mobile (err, sort of!) to push your pixels around right now, the Alienware box would certainly do so with aplomb.
