Driver Options

As is often the case, the GeForce 6800 brings numerous quality control options with it that the user can select outside of a game.

The above image shows the Forceware drivers quality control panel (formerly "Intellisample Settings". Note that there is a rather handy shortcut directly to this panel via a right-click on the desktop and selecting "NVIDIA Analogue Display", which you might find very useful. A full list of settings and values, with the advanced settings selected, are as follows:

  • Antialiasing Settings
    Application Controlled [On / Off] / Off, 2x, 2xQ, 4x, 8x
  • Anisotropic Filtering
    Application Controlled [On / Off] / Off, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x
  • Image Settings

This quality control panel also houses the Application Profiles area where particular groups of quality settings can be controlled and recalled as the application is run. Not only can settings be applied on a per application basis but applications can be grouped under a profile such that if you use similar settings for a number of applications these can all be grouped under one profile.
