Xbox 360 HD DVD Price Drop

Following last week's rumours about an impending Xbox 360 price drop, Microsoft is going to reduce the price of its HD DVD player accessory for the Xbox 360 to $179 in the US on August 1. As an extension of Toshiba's "Perfect Offer" promotional campaign, potential customers buying between between August 1 and September 30 get five free HD DVD movies out of a selection of 15 titles in addition to the drive.
A similar offer for Blu-ray players is available for PS3 owners until September 30.
