ATI X2600 spotted in MSI notebooks

At the just completed CES, NotebookReview found two MSI laptops, the ER710 and the GX710, that share an interesting characteristic. Both are powered by the "ATI X2600 Graphic Solution", which is presumably a midrange DX10 GPU.

This implies that the chip is already sampling with notebook manufacturers, and that it will be ready in time to compete for design wins in the upcoming Santa Rosa platform notebooks. It remains to be seen, however, what codename this chip corresponds to (RV630?), and what process it will be manufactured on.
